VRET COLLEGE OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION WAS ESTABLISHED IN 2005:
Vivekananda Rural Educational Trust College of Physical Education has been permitted by the Government of Karanataka to start B.P.Ed (Bachelor of Physical Education Course) from the Academic Year 2005-06. The College is Permanently Affiliated to Adikavi Sri Maharshi Valmiki University Raichur (Formerly Known As Raichur University Raichur) and Recognized by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The college was run by Vivekananda Rural Educational Trust ® Afzalpur, VRET College of Physical Education was the first institution in the Adikavi Sri Maharshi Valmiki University to have started Physical Education in a Building and Playground owned by the Trust. The building is located near to Raichur Railway station an distance of 300 Meters for, and accessible both by Rail and Road with Raichur Railway Station and Bus Stand. The one and only Permanently Affiliated Physical Education College in Kalyana Karanataka Region in Karanataka. The college was started in the year 2005 and since then, has been the pioneer of sports and physical education in the state. The college boasts of a very rich tradition, with most of its alumni being very good and enterprising professionals. The college is on the verge of modernization, and is aiming at being the pinnacle of physical education and sports in the country. The College also has a Hostel for boys and girls with world class infrastructure .
